When to use the calculator

Use dispatch review instead when a shipment is oversized, overweight, after-hours, multi-stop, hand-bombed, residential with special access, or outside a standard GTA delivery pattern.

How Dragonfly handles contact requests
Every delivery request is reviewed by the details that matter in the field: where the freight is being picked up, where it is going, how it is packed, how heavy it is, what access is available, and when the receiver can accept it. This helps dispatch separate a standard courier or pallet move from a shipment that needs special handling, a tailgate, inside delivery, an appointment window, or additional review.
If you already have photos, packing details, dock instructions, building access notes, receiver hours, or a purchase-order reference, include them with your message. Clear instructions help avoid missed pickups, wait time, re-delivery attempts and inaccurate estimates.
When to contact dispatch directly
Use the quote form for normal requests, but contact dispatch directly when the shipment is time-sensitive, the pickup window is tight, the freight is unusually heavy or oversized, the receiver needs advance notice, or there are site conditions that may affect the driver. Examples include construction sites, residential freight, elevator access, no loading dock, limited parking, after-hours work, and deliveries that require manual handling.
For standard requests, the form creates a cleaner record. For urgent requests, submit the form first and then call or text dispatch so the details are already available for review.
